Are You Sleeping Your Way to the Top? Saturday Read # 2

The title for this post comes from a very good short video of Arianna Huggington (of Huffington Post fame) a little further down. But I can’t resist a good tease.

So to get your mind back on the business at hand I found this great quote to sum-up the theme of this week’s Post.

“Your greatest responsibility is to live a life that nourishes your highest truth.”

Last week I said that I will change the book lists slightly each week. This week I chose a broad category ” Business and Money’ to derive my 5 top-selling book based around business and self-development. I get the list from Amazon’s best seller lists. This week I like the books in this category, so there you go. Want to be the boss, write your own posts.

The Top Five Best Selling Business and Money books for Week Ending March 22, 2014

1.Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder by Arianna Huffington

2.StrengthsFinder 2.0 by Tom Rath

3. Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

4. How to Win Friends & Influence People By Dale Carnegie (Kindle edition)

5. Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead by Sheryl Sandberg

In Thrive Arianna Huffington, who is no stranger to success talks about a third metric in defining success. It really worth listening to the video below because she is very articulate in expressing just what that third metric is. Too my way of thinking it is the most important metric.

Now you can sleep your way to the top and not sell yourself out and the same time.

Reading Quote of the Week

“There is no ME without books; they’re everything I remember from childhood, from maturity … All that’s happened to me has been coloured, permanently, by my reading.”
Source;  Spencer Gordon

Well that’s a wrap for this week.

Have a good weekend.

Go on an adventure: Read a Book

I like it! I like your Saturday feature, too. In all honesty, I would have never, ever watched a video featuring Arianna Huffington, and now I’m glad I did.

I actually own a copy of one of the books on your list. Got it when I graduated from High School. Care to guess??

    Thanks, Nick!
