The Secret to Being Truly Safe.

Saturday Read #5

This week as I decided which Amazon best seller list to use I choose something that’s been on my mind this week, small business and entrepreneurship. When I checked the books that come up under that title I found James Altucher, an amazing video, and some very interesting quotes attributed to him. Below is the quote I used to create my blog title.

The only truly safe thing you can do is to try over and over again. To go for it, to get rejected, to repeat, to strive, to wish. Without rejection there is no frontier, there is no passion, and there is no magic.”
Source: James Altucher, Choose Yourself

The quote doesn’t give a lot of comfort if you shy away from rejection, repeated failure and the need to strive and to hang onto that dream. I think most of us fall into that category some of the time at least. However, listening to James Altucher makes it clear for all it’s ugliness, entrepreneurship is in the end your very best bet, and your path to feeling truly safe. He is not the only person saying that. Just listen to Seth Godin for confirmation and many of the current thought leaders across the world.

So while his message maybe difficult to listen to, in the end what he says is very uplifting and inspirational.

I’ve put this book on my read next shelf so stay tuned for a follow-up review.I posted the video below the best seller list. I urge you to listen all the way through.
